The world of non-alcoholic beer has come a long way in a short time. And, while the majority of local offerings remain of the pale lager / pale ale / XPA ilk, you can find others: fruited sours and IPAs, for example, even the odd stout. You wouldn't say there was anything too out there, however. At least until this arrived.

The name Westside refers to the style of bold, punchy IPAs brewed on America’s west coast, which is the inspiration for American expat brewer Casey Wagner. Westside is his bid to recreate a San Diego-style beer experience just south of the CBD.

After enjoying a spectacular Pint of Origin debut in 2022 as the host of brewers from Continental Europe, Westside Ale Works is delighted to be back in 2023.

As a venue, Westside has always been about as relaxed as they come: a cozy, globe-lit taproom, filled with beer hall tables and games for people of all ages. It's a place where, after taking your seat, you get handed a bowl of popcorn as a game of basketball plays on the TV.

Westside prides itself on hand packaging each beer, four-grain whisky, dark rum, and gin into generous 750-millilitre bottles. Each visit promises a unique tasting experience featuring a rotating seasonal menu and one-off specials across the brewery’s 30 taps for customers’ pure indulgence.
